Peers and their heirs (Wikipedia naming convention)

Heya, I've noted that you've been adding heirs apparent to a number of our article on Earldoms and the like, but that you've been giving people titles that they don't (yet) legally have (not until their father dies); Wikipedia convention is that we don't preemptive entitle people, so "John Stewart Sholto Douglas, Lord Aberdour" is located thusly until he does in fact become the 22nd Earl of Morton.

Peers in a special period of time

Would it not be funny and interesting to see who was a peer in a special period of time, let me say from 1410 to 1445 or so? Is this a good idea for a wikipedia article? Please tell me your opinions.

Interesting. The problem, of course, becomes the definition of the "special periods". Each century (or even decade) is an easy-enough definition, though arbitrary and not necessarily helpful; random periods such as 1410-1445 (or 15th January 1934 to 22nd October 2003, or whatever) would probably be less useful in generis, and, certainly, would likely be matters of dispute as to which timeframes to use for such periods. But, sure, go for it! I look forward to seeing "Peers in the 20th Century", "Peers in the 1900s", et al..

Hi, I see you're in the process of editing it, so I'll leave it alone for now. I live near Paris, France but right now I am travelling in the U.S. on the West Coast (Seattle today, Los Angeles tomorrow). It's a little late here (I've been travelling all day), so I am signing off soon for the night. I'll take a look at the table again tomorrow and if you need help then, I'll be glad to do what I can.

Hi, I made some minor changes to the table on a copy at my sandbox page Brian's Sandbox. Take a look, if you like it, you can just cut-and-paste to replace the one on the Bridgnorth (UK Parliament constituency) page, or let me know if you want me to do it. If you prefer the one that's there, that's fine too, just let me know so I can delete the copy from my Sandbox page.

Also, stub-sorters would appreciate it if you placed {{UK-noble-stub}} on these articles instead of the generic {{stub}}. Redirects

You have recently created a bunch of redirects[1] to non-existent pages. Are you planning on creating the target pages (and soon)? If not, these redirects are a bad idea and they will be speedy deleted. Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi, VM könntest du bei Peerage/Baronetage-Titeln die "S-reg"-Templates anstelle von "S-hon" benutzen? Wann welches gilt siehst du hier Template:S-reg. Grüße

Du hattest die Succession-Box bei Gilbert Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby, 1st Earl of Ancaster erweitert, den ich in meiner Beobachtungsliste habe. Als ich nachgeschaut habe, was du geändert hast, fiel mir auf, dass ein falsches Template, eben jenes S-hon, dort war wo tatsächlich ein S-reg sein sollte. Nun in meiner grenzenlosen Weisheit habe ich beim Überprüfen wer denn das gemacht hat in die falsche Version reingeschaut und dich ausgemacht, was ich fünf Minuten später bemerkt habe .... alles klar geworden ? ;-) Grüße

Hi, ich habe deine Änderung rückgängig gemacht, da du den Link erstens zu folgendem [[Heir Apparent|Heir apparent]] abgeändert hast, was wiederum zu einer Weiterleitung auf den Artikel Heir apparent führt. Du hast also einen redirect gepipt, was unsinnig ist, eine Änderung zu Heir apparent hätte gereicht. Zweitens benutzen wir laut Wikipedia:WikiProject Peerage eben doch die Heir Apparent Form. Baron Wittenham

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Baron Wittenham, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Baron Truro
