Correct, semantic quotation markup
[edit]I used correct, semantic quotation markup in the section on the RSC's blue plaques. Twice now, this has been removed, with no explanation given ("Quote can go inline" is no more an explanation than "I can make this edit"). I have restored it. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:39, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
- IMO it gives undue visual weight to the text in question. Thus the summary of "condensed". What is wrong with the quote being inline? Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:34, 3 February 2019 (UTC)
Discovery vs invention
[edit]It is wrong to say that Ibuprofen was "discovered", because it was invented by an inventor. The article invention of the Wikipedia goes: an invention is a unique or novel device, method, composition or process. In contrary, "discovery" relates to an existing thing e.g. South Pole.
I believe well-informed readers are aware of this fact.
So, my correction sholud be restored.--Linkoman (talk) 12:10, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
Formatting error
[edit]I'm not familiar with editing infoboxes but there is a formatting errorr: Error in template * unknown parameter name (Template:Infobox_drug): 'pregnancy_US; pregnancy_US_comment' (See parameter list). Covid-19 section
[edit]The section concerning the use of Ibuprofen to treat Covid-19 should be removed since the information is of dubious value and presents no peer reviewed study that has been published in a reputable scientific journal. Dr. Morbius (talk) 17:48, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
